Ever since the invention of the Facebook, social media has taken the world by storm. Earlier it was a difficult thing to trust anything on the internet.

While it was not the first  social media site, Facebook changed the game of how little people trusted the internet back in the day when a mere picture upload on would give you nightmares and made you wonder what will happen if your picture was to go into the wrong hands.

This is the prime example of a social networking which is also known by the names of social networking services and social media.

These social networking sites are a simple medium of connecting with people who are or once were in touch with you.

They can be your old school friends, distant relative or the people from locality where you used to live before. This is the inherent motive on which the entire social media was invented but ever since it has gained popularity, it also has become a platform where you can meet new people.

But the risk is personal in the matter and people are advised to take certain security measures before they meet people befriended on social media.

Since the rise and popularity of the social media has been bigger than expected, the number of services and features in them keep increasing time to time. An updated social media site today must contain feature like picture, video and link sharing along with the services like online shopping and online job searching.

As the platform for businesses, it has been used as a tool for off page SEO because link sharing and promoting businesses is openly encouraged here. If you want your business to rank higher in the search engine algorithm for the popularity, you need to make your presence felt on the social media because your popularity will 100 % be noted here by the search engines.

Millions of people today use social media on a daily basis and it has also replaced almost all the other platforms and mediums of news.

There cannot be a better platform creating backlinks than the social media. On the other hand, it can also be a more convenient way to connect with your customers than the other option like customer care helpline because here people are not afraid to express their opinions freely and that will definitely help you in knowing what the customers really want.
