We have talked about how Google provide users with their best material first and behind that effort there is a lot of hard work that is put by them.

The larger part of the Google search engine and its’ algorithms are run by the Google Bots and as we all know, they are not as well trained to understand the human language as the human themselves no matter how advanced they might be.

They crawl through the websites reading and analyzing content of websites trying to find which website has the most quality content that is also easy to understand. Now that we know that the quality content and backlinks are not the only factors that helps you in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) but a well-organized site is also necessary, we need to understand how much structured data matters.

The basics of structured data is to provide the detailed but short information about the page along with the categorized content that may help Google in creating a Sitelink for your website when it comes on top of Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) as well as giving an overview to the visitors.

The structured data is important as far as the Google is concerned because the ranking game is played on a daily basis and bots are working 24 hours a day to provide you with machine picked information that is as accurate for them as it is for us. In this busy schedule it is hard for them to go through the whole content of a site and make sense of it at the same time. This is where the structured data save their time.

One major factor that plays an important role in this whole scenario is that some of the website are built with data stored in the database and later it is converted into Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) that is almost incomprehensible to the bots.

They have no way of understanding content of those sites unless provided with Structured Data. If your website belongs to the same category, you must have structured data along with a well-organized and navigation friendly content to be able to be understood by Google.

Otherwise, your website even has a chance of never appearing in the search results since the bot cannot understand your content and are confused about which category it belongs to. To make the process easier, Google has developed a free tool for this called Structured Data Markup.
