Among the web designers, developers and digital marketers, it is a common knowledge that the mobile devices now contribute to more than half of the total searches conducted on Google search engine, which is the most widely used search engine.

Keeping this is mind, the website owners are now emphasizing the need of designing their website to accommodate and adapt to the design of the mobile devices so the users who are using the search engine on their tablets and mobile phones have no difficulty in accessing them.

The websites designed especially for the computers and laptops sometimes does not load properly on the smaller devices, with the additional problems like difficulty fitting into the smaller screens as well as extra response time.

A responsive design is the ultimate solution to the above technical issues that not only ruins the experience of the users and the visitors but also lower downs your website rating in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process.

Thus, making your website look bad in comparison with the other websites in creating content in the same field of work, making it harder for it to come on top of the Search Engine Result Pages. The main goal of the design is to eliminate all the above possibilities and make it adapt to the device that has been used to access it.

Just like the content of the your website is optimized to the serve the need of the users better, this is the same kind of optimization concerned with the presenting that content in the best way possible to them. While a lot of users permanently use the mobile devices for all their internet needs (especially in the third world countries), some prefer a cross device usage for their convenience.

One of the most advantageous thing about designing your website that can cater to any device is that you save a lot of money and resources by not having to design two different kind of website.

Google also supports this practice and names it the Responsive Web Design (RWD). But the important thing to remember here is that there is another type of web designing that is similar to this and that is called adaptive designing.

In this kind, only the size of the website gets adapted in accordance with the device that is being used to access it. That is why the responsive design is the best option.
